We charge a flat rate for our services.  We do not charge by the hour. No surprises, no hidden fees. Our lower costs for legal services make commencing smaller claims more feasible and make smaller claims worthwhile to defend. Examples are provided below.

If you need to commence a small claims action:

  • Draft Notice of Claim: $575 - $750

  • Attend Settlement Conference: $350

  • Pre-trial preparation: $375

  • Attend trial per day (If authorized): $600

  • Draft Reply to Notice of Claim $550 - $650

  • Attend Settlement Conference: $350

You will not require all of the services listed here, this is a list of services. If the matter settles at the settlement conference the file will likely cost $1,000 before taxes, plus court fees in total. Most files, even if they proceed all the way to a one day trial, never cost more than $2,000, before taxes, plus court fees in total. You pay for the services you want. You may continue on your own if you wish.
